Deliberately dying to send yourself back to your last Save Gong (or the level entrance if you haven’t hit one), which is often faster than walking back. Your progress in the level is kept.
Collectibles grabbed on the way down still count:
- Gems
- Golden Gobbos — see that page; only possible in two rooms
- the Jigsaw Piece in Sailor Jigsaw, the only one you can reach while dying. You keep it and aren’t warped out
